Does Dray Heating & Air have any HVAC maintenance subscriptions or memberships?

At Dray Heating & Air, we do our maintenance plans a little differently! There is no subscription fee or additional monthly cost. Just let us know you’d like to be placed in our routine maintenance program, and we’ll get you on our schedule twice a year—you just pay the normal maintenance visit cost.

What’s included in the Dray Heating & Air maintenance program?

Dray Heating & Air doesn’t package our HVAC maintenance services as a gimmick. When you let us know you’d like to keep up-to-date on your HVAC maintenance, we will come out twice a year (once in the spring/summer for AC and again in the fall/winter for heat). There are no discounts, monthly expenses, or special scheduling required—just good old-fashioned service from your local, trusted HVAC company.

What are the benefits of being in the Dray Heating & Air maintenance program?

When you are in the Dray Heating & Air maintenance program, you don’t have to remember to schedule your maintenance—we get your biannual HVAC checkups booked and on our schedule right away, so you can rest assured that someone is keeping your system running as efficiently as possible.

Do you offer weekend service?

During peak seasonal weather, like extreme heat waves or intensely cold weather, Dray Heating & Air will provide weekend appointments and urgent response.

How soon can I get HVAC service or repair?

Dray Heating & Air can typically offer HVAC repair and service appointments in Oakdale, CA, and surrounding areas within 24 hours. Depending on weather conditions, which can cause higher-than-average HVAC repair demands, same-day appointments may be available.

Do you offer emergency HVAC service?

Dray Heating & Air does not provide traditional emergency HVAC service or 24/7 HVAC repair. We greatly emphasize a healthy work-life balance for our team, and believe a steady, fixed schedule is ideal for our employees to enjoy family and personal time.

We do, however, schedule most heating and cooling repairs within 24 hours—sometimes the same day if our schedule allows for it. During extreme weather events, we may extend our hours over the weekend to help ensure the comfort and safety of our neighbors in Oakdale, CA, and surrounding areas.

How do I keep my AC drain line from clogging and overflowing?

Regular filter changes and routine air conditioning system maintenance (including coil cleanings) will keep the drain line clear.

Our family has really bad allergies, and we are trying to find a product that will help us with that. Do you have any special promotions on air purification systems?

Dray Heating & Air is a family-owned and operated company with asthma and bad allergies—this is a major concern for us as well. We strongly recommend the iWave air purifier.

With an iWave air purifier, you don't have to replace expensive UV bulbs, it doesn’t emit ozone (which can increase headaches), and it is self-cleaning!

We also offer several other indoor air quality products, and can help you select the best product for your needs.

Does Dray Heating & Air offer warranty options?

Dray Heating & Air believes in customer satisfaction! We offer a 1-year labor warranty with any new furnace, heat pump, air conditioning, or other HVAC installation, with the option to purchase a longer warranty. Standard heating and cooling equipment also comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s limited part warranty, and mini splits come with a 6-year manufacturer’s limited part warranty.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, Dray Heating & Air provides free estimates for new HVAC system installations. Repairs appointments have a $60 diagnostic fee.

Where is my HVAC filter located?

This varies from home to home. Some homes have it in the ceiling, on a wall near the unit, or in the furnace/air conditioner. Many homes have multiple filters—one in the unit and another at an intake vent. If you are unsure or unable to locate where your HVAC filters are, a service tech can show you.

What size are my HVAC filters?

This also varies from home to home and unit to unit. You may be able to identify the size based on an old filter or the manufacturer’s owner manual (if you don’t have one, search your model). A Dray Heating & Air service tech can also measure and let you know what size filter you need.

How do I adjust my thermostat?

Adjusting or programming a thermostat can vary from model to model. If yours has a guide, use that to learn how to set it. Otherwise, a Dray Heating & Air service tech can show you how to use it.

Can you install a thermostat I purchased online?

Yes, absolutely! We often recommend purchasing thermostats through a third-party because customers can often find affordable options this way. We can supply thermostats if a customer prefers to order one this way—we have several options to choose from in our service vehicles.

Do you work on boiler or hydronic systems, or do you know someone who does?
